What a huge day!
We set off earlier than expected at 6:30am and made incredible time to Canberra with one half hour break at Pheasant’s Nest. We arrived at 12:30pm and quickly had lunch before heading into Parliament House.
The students took part in an excellent role play of the House of Representatives before heading off in two groups to tour the House of Reps and the Senate. Needless to say there wasn’t much going on today but lots of photo opportunities. We then had a hospitality break and photo sessions out on the lawn.
After Parliament we went to the National Capital Exhibition for an education tour and creative photos in front of the big water spout in Lake Burley Griffin.
We are now heading to Cooma to go to dinner at Marlborough Motor Inn. Everyone is in fantastic spirits.
