The event will be taking off from Friday night, 27th July, from 5.30pm and will continue with a full day of workshops and sharing on Saturday, 28th July from 10.00am to 3.30pm

You can see the Friday Night program here.  Please note that there is a small charge for the Friday event to cover our incidental costs. Friday will also provide lots of social opportunity to meet and catch up with others.

Splendour in the Class opening night on Friday is being held at the Newcastle School, on the corner of Union Street and Laman Street, Cooks Hill. (Link to map here) The site is an easy walk from either Wickham or Civic stations, with buses stopping nearby and a large public carpark just at the back of the school.

Make sure you don’t miss out on the Friday night program, as you need to take advantage of our online payment system provided by our partners for this event; the Australian College of Educators. Click here to register and pay online.

Saturday will be a full program of workshops.

There is no charge for Saturday’s program, but a wealth of value from others sharing what works for them.

Splendour in the Class grew out of an idea to host a Teachmeet in the Hunter, and got a little crazy after that: leaving the usual teachmeet formats behind.  We look forward to seeing you there and being part of a grassroots movement to share practice and ideas between peers and colleagues.
