Closing Laptops (Netbooks) usually sends the ‘lappy’ to sleep *bring on genetic engineering!
Before the lesson… provide clear steps of what is required, issue a hand-out of details of the lesson and the steps, have the steps projected from your ‘lappy’ so as to share with the whole class…. BC (before computers are open),
How do you regain the attention of your class with Laptops open? Have every student stand, rotate their chairs to face you, then sit. Have students ‘partially’ close the lids of their ‘lappy’ so as to remove the distraction BUT not send their lappy to sleep?
