When IBM/Lenovo upgraded the memory of the Netbooks (in school) they MAY have failed to close the ‘hatch’/RAM cover properly. The batteries for the Lenovo ideapad netbook don’t have a ‘memory’ so you can charge them anytime @ any power level.
NB: Lenovo state… to increase the life of the battery, the computer will not start recharging the battery if the remaining power in NO less than 95%.

Gaining, regaining focus/attention.
Once the lid is closed… then opened the Netbook ‘wakes’ easily however the user is required to confirm their password to regain access. Although this is less that 10 secs. it will be a consideration in how the teacher/school determines a common ‘practice’! See earlier posts for DERNSW classroom management.
