Editing your writing.

All good writers edit their writing. This is very important, as you need to check your writing when you have finished.

In our class we have an editing check list.
We tick off the following:

Reread your work. Does it make sense?

Check for spelling errors.

Check for punctuation errors. Punctuation refers to using full stops, commas, capital letters, question marks, exclamation marks, speech marks and apostrophes in the correct way.

Check that you have written your work in paragraphs. Does it have an introduction, middle and a conclusion?

Check if there are any missing words.
